Case Study Pete Leach, Leach Carpentry

We first met Pete when he was looking to scale up from a sole trader to a limited company. He had previously used Sage to complete his bookkeeping, but found the system to be long winded and time consuming. His accounts were never up to date, so he was unaware of where he was financially.

Xero Worskshops Help Familiarisation

As part of the onboarding procedure we set Pete’s new limited company up on Xero from day 1, and also introduced Receipt Bank. Pete attended one of our Xero Workshops as he was keen to continue doing the day to day bookkeeping himself, so we trained him up on everything. Pete loves Xero and receipt bank, he finds they are both easy to use, which means he spends a lot less time doing his accounts, freeing up time to do other things.

Much More In Control

Pete feels a lot more control of his accounts, with receipt bank he is always up to date, which means he knows exactly where he is with his accounts. This also means we’re able to complete his monthly CIS returns within days of the end of the month, and his year end accounts quickly and smoothly, meaning Pete no longer needs to worry about deadlines , they are met within plenty of time, and he knows the tax implications way before any tax needs paying.

In Safe Hands

In Pete’s words: ‘Finding PPF was the best thing to happen to my business, it was so easy going from being a sole trader to a ltd company thanks to PPF. They are always on hand to help with any questions or advice I need, and they are so friendly it make me feel like such a valued customer. I know my business is in safe hands.’
