Back in February we went along to the Xero Roadshow and whilst we were there Ashleigh from the Xero Marketing team launched their ‘Behind Your Business’ competition.
This competition celebrates small businesses and their advisors. The winners would get a #behindyourbusiness video featuring an accountancy firm and their client, along with up to £5,000 of local Xero advertising featuring both the accounting firm and their client.
We were all really excited about the competition and what this could mean for us as a practice and our clients should we be lucky enough to win. The exposure this could give both businesses would be amazing and we just knew we needed to enter the competition.
Never in our wildest dreams did we actually think we would win! I still can’t believe it now, I never win anything!
Our win is all thanks to one of our wonderful clients – Darren Dack of 3D Oak Limited.
3D Oak are specialist suppliers of European oak timber buildings and cart lodges, as well as many other high quality oak products including log stores, porches, gazebos, and bespoke designs. Here are a few pictures of some of their projects – they are gorgeous!

Xero loved Darren’s story and his passion for producing beautiful timber oak frames. They loved that he plants an oak tree for every building he supplies. Xero also liked how we’ve made things hassle free for Darren by introducing Xero, and how we’ve helped make joining Xero a breath of fresh air.
As you probably know we love Xero here at PPF, and so do our clients. Thanks to our partnership with Xero, we are able to deliver a great accounting service to our clients and give them time back with their families. It is such an honour to have this opportunity to film a video with Xero and be part of their co-branded marketing.
